Kenya Youth Development Education Support Association (KYDESA)

About Us

Kenya Youth Development Education Support Association (KYDESA) is a nonprofit, community-led, and community-based organization (CBO) founded in April 2009 and registered in 2012. It originated from LVCT Health’s community outreach activities and the MSM post-test club established in 2009. KYDESA is a member of GALCK+ and ILGA World, working to build networks and engage Sexual and Gender Minorities (SGM) communities in various sub-counties of Nakuru and Kericho Counties in Rift Valley, Kenya. The SGM community worldwide, especially in Kenya and specifically in Nakuru and Kericho counties, faces stigma and discrimination, which hinder access to essential services like healthcare and equitable employment. KYDESA was created as a platform to lead advocacy and campaigns for human rights. We promote this agenda through diverse projects focused on health, human rights advocacy, education, and other areas.
